trigonometry

today's last class which was Trigonometry was so darn boring. I duno, maybe i was just not feelin' it since it was the last class of the day. HAHA. Anyway there's this ELL or EEL thing that most of my mates are joining... It's like an extra English course and well, i dont know if i should join cos i admit, i am lazy to add another subject in my EAF.

Anyways, speaking of English, just now, during lessons, we had this diagnostic test and it was friggin tough. It was like some research and there were questions about it and using those questions, we were asked to compose an essay of some sort. And gee it wasn't that easy... Marvin said that the results from that test will decide if we should take the extra english or not. I don't know.. Im pretty cool with it if i have to. I don't really care all that much. If my English needs to be improved, then why not, i'd be happy to. But seriously, i AM lazy. HAHA

ANYHOW, random pics...

Yes, its the one i'm using now. It caught my eye. HAHA.

oh and yesterday i cut myself unconsciously and i just realized when i was on the way home with me mates XD Karyl saw it just now and she was like "What happened to your hand?!"

Im out of words. No, actually, thats just a lame excuse. Im just too lazy to blog. HAHA.

Take care

the fan

why the fan? cos the fan is right next to me and i cant think of any other title for this blog. Im currently at home.. Block mates are having classes. FILKOMU. Yes, i will be transferring to special filipino classes for international students. Oh and when i attended that filkomu class on tuesday i think, i was really embarrassed cos there was this Indian looking guy who could talk in Tagalog better than me. At least, he could speak fluently. While me, Kresta Cortez on the other hand, a filipino brown skinned dame who plays games can't even talk fluently. Like wth huh? Anyway, took lotsa photos today and laugh alot. Ate Teriyaki chicken in the canteen and err... Its 12.23. I have to get ready for my Englcom class. :S

IM OUT!

first day of college...

Oh my gulay is all i can say. First day was so damn tiring to the MAXIMUM level. Pictures, will come soon cos i'll just be grabbing from my block mates.

Anyway, here's how my first day went.. Woke up at 6.30am and dragged myself out of bed. Got ready and changed clothes a couple of times cos i didn't know what to wear. HAHA. Arrived in school at 8am cos in between, i stopped by 10Q[a 24 hour grocery store] to get my phone some load/credit. I met Margaux at the bleachers and she said she was waiting for Karyl. We had this agreement thing that we would meet each other at a place on the first day of school so yea.

We were so fresh and so energized and excited but Karyl didn't arrive till 8.18am. And classes start at 8.30am! I kept calling her to ask her where she was and time felt like it was flying too fast cos Margaux and I didn't want to be marked absent on the first day of school. Plus being late on first day will give a very very bad impression on the prof. So yea we ran all the way to the Enrique Sports Complex building. The big deal? We had to run all the way to 7th floor and we used the friggin stairs cos the elevator was FULL. Upon reaching the 7th floor, we found out that our PE coach wasn't there. Yes, first subject on Mondays is PE. So yea, classes were canceled. This man just announced to us that we should have Swimming suits by next week.

Our block mates and I hanged out at Yellow cab Pizza and ate brunch. After that, we went to buy PE uniforms, and it was already 11.00am. Again, we had to rush for our 11.20am class which is algebra. We rushed all the way to the 12th floor this time. My gosh it was tiring. After that test, dismissed early then Sociotech then English and I met this Japanese Foreign Exchange student who's 20years old. Yea yea. Im really skipping points cos i am so very tired right now and i really just wana lay on the bed and rest... But im doing it for my readers. HAHA. Yes, i love ya'll that much XD

Peace & out

Bryant leads Lakers to comeback victory

Bryant scored all but two of his 27 points after halftime, including a go-ahead, 10-foot jumper in the lane with 23.9 seconds remaining, and the Lakers rallied from a 20-point deficit to beat the Spurs 89-85 on Wednesday night's Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. Wooo! Go KOBE! T'was a close game. Was practically shouting my lungs out. HAHA

american idol

OK so i was watching American Idol Season 7 Final Elimination just a few seconds ago. Actually, it's still on and my David Cook is currently performing. HAHA. DAVID COOK won! WOOOOO! I have to admit i was ecstatic. It was pretty unexpected cos David Archuleta won all three rounds in the American Idol 7 Final Performance. But i guess it all comes down to the votes of the fans right? David Archuleta wasn't bad. He was actually pretty good, just that he only sings one type of song and well, for me it was pretty boring and just alright. David Cook can sing ANYTHING and he's one of a kind[original]. Plus plus, he dares to try something new even if it's very risky =)

And most importantly, he's REAL.

In my opinion, even if David Archuleta won, i think that David Cook would be more successful and sell more records. But hey, it's just an opinion. Hahaha. I dont wan't any David Archuleta fans come banging on my door with bats on their hand
s so i'll stop now. HAHA.

DAVID COOK

before my sister left for school, she showed me this video below[a performance by Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks from IDOL GIVES BACK] and it gave me chills at the ending part so i'll be generous and share it with you guys. Haha

arrival vs. departure

Yesterday night, while waiting for my sister to arrive from Brunei, i was there sitting watching and observing the happenings around me. Above, was the departure and below was the arrival. The airport is both a happy and a sad place. It is a place that a lot of people shed tears everyday, besides the cemetery of course. I bet that every time i walk on the airport's floor, every step that i make, i will be stepping on someone else's dried tears.

OK, wth. I'm not writing a composition about AIRPORTS.

But yea, we were waiting at the arrival area for quite some time cos my aunt didn't want to get caught in traffic which i was against cos i doubt that there was traffic at midnight. But what do i know right? I've only been here for less than a year, she knows how the country goes more than i do. I mean, still, you can never predict if there's traffic or not can you? I guess it is better to be early and wait than being late and getting frustrated. Really, wth am i talking about. I'm talking for myself and against myself. Crazy- much?! wakakak

Anyhow, i have to go to Robinsons later cos my sister asked me to buy some solution for her contact lens. She's in school right now so she cant get one herself. Yes, favor. Kresta is actually doing someone a favor. HAHA

Something out of the ordinary yesterday? Ermm.... YES! My sister bought Kolo Mee from Brunei[there's no Kolo Mee here in the Philippines so i guess i can make a big deal out of it]. My aunt and I ate em for dinner our midnight snack. Err, more like heavy midnight snack. Which can't be called snack cos it's heavy. Ok i'm out. Haha.

im backk

Yes, i have already used the loo and why am i posting this is because i have nothing else better to say and no, i do not want to shut my mouth.

OH OH! I have successfully changed m
y blogskin which took me like forever! My current blogskin didn't awe me that much but it's definitely better than my previous purple blogskin.[i think]

I have been trying to change it for months but i couldnt find any decent skin that had "properly arranged" html codes.

Anyway, while i was reading my blog and editing some typing-spelling mistakes i made, i remembered that i forgo
t to blog about my orientation and medical check up.

Anyway, both were awesome. Orientation was crazy fun and i met lotsa cool new peeps and well, i felt less like a fish out of water. Which is of course a good thing. HAHA.

My first class on my first day of school is PE. WOOOOO. I have to admit i am thrilled about this whole college thing. I know i wasn't then but now i'm all pumped up for this whole first day thing.

Here's a picture of our block. Yes, i'll be spending two whole semesters with them, if i can keep up that is...

countdown

tonight around 10.25pm, my sister will be leaving Brunei and i'm sure definite that she would flood the condo once she sets her foot on the room. Hehe. She'll be arriving tomorrow past midnight.

Anyway, school is starting for me next week which is about 5days from now..? and well, i dont know what to wear yet. I know i shouldn't be worrying about that cos there's alot more better things to worry about out there but well, a girl will always be a girl. (=

I just woke up not long ago and i really need to use the loo.

(:

Peace out

MAMA'S DAY

well here's a brief description about how mothers day went for me.

NO MOM
Simply, alone.
i mish my mama! ='( huhu

Something that cheered me up a bit. Plus, everywhere i go these days, i hear it. On the radio EVERYWHERE! Its haunting me.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=775Vz6Jy1xo

And to make things even worse, there's thunderstorm and its raining really hard outside right now.

both happy and sad

these few days while i was alone, i've been thinking alot.

Humans are all the same, we are all one people, all have emotions and feelings.
But how can humans hurt their people and fight against their people?
How can humans cheat humans?

While giving long thoughts about this, if all came down to one sentence.
"Before we do something to someone, try to put yourself in that person's shoes first before taking action."

and lastly...

HAPPY MAMA'S DAY, MA! I LOVE YOU LOADS

aloneee...

Well, nothing out of the ordinary today. Just that today was Enrollment day and i had to wake up early so i'd be ahead of the long queue. There were lots of freshies and today was only the enrollment for the College of Engineers.

Anyway, i submitted my High School Achievement form, Birth Certificate, Non- Fraternity Form, Designation of Parent/Guardian. Then paid my tuition fees and got my Student Enrollment Record. The only tiring part was when i found out everybody else had Medical schedule and Dental Schedule and I didn't. We had to walk all the way to Andrew Gonzalez Hall where the Admin was and the worse part is, it's at the very end of La Salle University.

After getting my schedule, we went back home. Schedule of ID picture taking and Medical is on 15th May. I have to wait like a week more and 2 days? Gee...

Oh and freshman orientation is on May 12 & 13.

Honestly, the freshmen in the engineering department this year don't look like nerds at all. Very few were wearing glasses. As in VERY few. And none dress like geeks. Hahaha. I guess i was expecting too much.

Anyway, i was browsing through some shoes and i saw these dope pairs of marc ecko red shoes.

love them shoes! so hip.

In addition, i was also checking out some phones and well, i landed on this uber cool sidekick LX demo. It's not the demo that i like. It's the phone (:

SIDEKICK LX, YOU ARE SO HOT!!

a song that makes me happy on a lonely day like this. Yes, momy left for La Union.

My blog WAS dead. But i'll save it =)

Anyway, i'll give you some updates of what's been happening in my life lately. Want to know why i haven't been going online lately? It's cos my sis's computer broke down. Hhahaha. Over used? MAYBE!

6th April, Sunday - This was way overdue. It was the day dad and I went back to Brunei. Anyway, we woke up at 3.30am to get ready cos the flight was around 7.20am. While my dad was checking in the baggage, there was this Filipino lady with an American son who's around 9years old?, i presume. Anyway, there was a man working in the airport who assisted the lady and her son to the Royal Brunei check in counter and she asked the man after paying him

" Can we bring our luggages to the toilet?" in an American weird accent.

The man answered, "NO, you can leave your son outside the toilet to guard your luggage." obviously having difficulties on speaking fluent English.

Then the woman said," NO, i cant leave him alone."

The man said, "Then just bring your son with you." again, in a very unnatural way.

And so the three of them left the queue. The other two men on the opposite of your lane said "Yong babae na yun, Pilipino din naman eh. Pa English english pa, pinahirapan pa yung bellboy." which in English meant, "That lady just now is also a Filipino. There's no need to speak in English, she's just troubling the bellboy."

I couldnt stop laughing! hAHAHA. You see, filipinos has this thing that if you are a filipino and you know how to speak tagalog but yet you talk in English, they think you're showing off or something. And plus, they'll hate you cos you're making it hard for them. Wakakak.
